Entrepreneurial Journey

My entrepreneurial journey is one that has been changing my entire life and will continue over the next few years. Next year, I will be jumping into the corporate world by working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in its investment banking division. In this role I will be on teams that advise $2b+ companies on mergers and acquisitions. This is role is far from the traditional entrepreneurs, but my journey will not stop there. My job will give me an incredible financial skill set, and it will use that throughout my journey.

After completing an analyst program, I hope to work in private equity for a few years where I can develop an investor mindset. From there I hope to directly start investing my own money into start-up firms in the area. I feel strongly that my investment ability will be my path into entrepreneurship, rather than directly starting my own firm. I hope to then take an active role in growing the company. Not every person is the founder of a great company and almost all companies need outside capital, I hope to be that person down the road.

I am in a period where personal growth is the most important to me, I will be very patient with my growth. Looking at my skill set and risk level, I know that my time will come, but I am not looking to jump into a venture right now. Every person can find their opportunity and I am looking forward to finding mine.
